¡Adios Mobile World Congress! – Event Highlights
We made it! Mobile World Congress was four jam-packed days of mobile talk, innovation, networking and lots of walking. CAKE had a fantastic time meeting with our existing clients and partners as well as forming some great new relationships!
This was our first time exhibiting at Mobile World Congress, and our already high expectations were greatly exceeded. With over 90,000 attendees, and nine halls spanned over one huge exhibition center, it meant traveling from one end of the show to the other took at least 30 minutes! Despite the lengthy walks and extremely busy days, the team enjoyed every minute.
In addition to meeting and greeting clients and partners and showcasing our best in class products: CAKE for Networks and CAKE for Advertisers, we enjoyed the delights of Barcelona at the Ocaña restaurant with our payment integration partners, Tipalti and our joint clients. A big thank you to all that made it along to the event.
Not only did the conference attract 93,000+ attendees from 200 countries and over 2,000 exhibitors, it also attracted a wide range of high-profile speakers, including celebrities such as Mark Zuckerberg and Will.I.Am. Zuckerberg spoke about the growth of social and how important mobile operators are to that growth. Another interesting point mentioned during his interview was the story of people moving homes to areas of Jakarta deemed ‘cyber-connected villages’ in order to access the Internet, highlighting that the growth and desire of online connectivity is so strong. Other keynote topics included mobile payments, innovation in mobile, personalizing the consumer experience, delivering contextual experiences and cross-channel attribution, just to name a few. If you missed any of the sessions, you can watch them here.
Whilst exhibiting at the show, CAKE released its latest whitepaper – Addressing The Mobile Tracking Challenge, which was a recurring theme amongst keynote presentations, panels and conversations with attendees at MWC. All in all, it was a Mobile World Congress was a fabulous experience and we’re already looking forward to next year’s show!
