Data Privacy and Protection Key Priorities for Marketing Intelligence SaaS Provider

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – March 19, 2019 – Accelerize (OTCQB: ACLZ) (OTCBB: ACLZ) and its digital marketing software division CAKE today announced it has received certification approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce for the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. CAKE’s latest certification extends its commitment to data privacy and protection for its growing client roster of brands, networks, advertisers and agencies that leverage the company’s enterprise SaaS marketing intelligence platform.

More than 4,200 U.S. organizations and their European Union (EU) partners rely on the Privacy Shield program for personal data transfers from the EU to the United States in accordance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The EU-U.S Privacy Shield Framework was finalized by the EU and U.S. authorities in 2016 and supports hundreds of billions of dollars in transatlantic trade.

To join the Privacy Shield Framework, CAKE self-certified with the U.S. Department of Commerce and has publicly committed to comply with the requirements of the Framework.  Accelerize’s status as an active participant in the Framework can be viewed here.

“Active participation in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework demonstrates CAKE’S ongoing commitment to protect client data and individual privacy,” said Kevin King, Data Protection Officer at CAKE.  “Voluntary Privacy Shield self-certification, in conjunction with CAKE’S Type 1 SOC 2 certification and continued GDPR efforts, is further evidence of CAKE’s intentional strategy to safeguard customer data beyond minimal compliance standards.”
