Media Hosting With Cake

by | Aug 9 | How-To

CAKE now offers a media hosting feature that enables clients to manage their creative media with ease.

You now have the option to:

  1. Download linked images
  2. Host creative media files in a cloud environment, whenever creative files are uploaded.

If the download linked images option is chosen, any absolute linked images will be downloaded into CAKE when the creative is added. That means you no longer have to manually download and re-upload images that are hosted elsewhere; CAKE will take care of all the image downloading for you at the click of a button.

If the host creative images option is chosen, any images uploaded will be hosted in a cloud environment. You won't have to worry about the uptime of a server separate from CAKE anymore.  Of course, if you ever change your mind and no longer want to host any of these images, you can download them just as easily.

As you can see, a lot of the manual work can be eliminated if you utilize these two options, either separately or in conjunction with each other.  If you are having issues  maintaining the uptime of a separate file server or are just tired of managing one in general, why not host all the images on CAKE? If you are wasting too much time grabbing images just so that they can be included in your creative packs, why not let CAKE do all the dirty work for you? Simply request to have this feature enabled for you, and you can start taking advantage of this simplified Creative uploading process.

* For older creatives that were previously uploaded, an option to host any image files after the fact is also available. Simply go into the files list in the Creative card, double click on the file of choice, check the hosted checkbox and save.
