Executive Leadership

  • Santi Pierini


    Santi oversees CAKE’s business operations and corporate strategy globally. He is a veteran of the marketing technology industry with over two decades of experience in enterprise software focused on Global 2000 companies.

    Prior to CAKE, he served in senior executive positions at InQuira (acquired by Oracle), Day Software (now Adobe Marketing Cloud), Vignette (acquired by OpenText) and OnDisplay (acquired by Vignette). Earlier in his career, he worked in marketing at Dun & Bradstreet, Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a systems architect and as a senior management consultant for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

    Santi holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science/marketing from California Polytechnic State University – San Luis Obispo.

  • Dave Stewart

    Founder / CTO

    Dave oversees research and development for CAKE’s marketing technology products. In this role, he manages a talented team of engineers, in support of current customer needs as well as ongoing product innovation.

    Dave has spent much of the past decade architecting software and is an expert in systems architecture, front- and back-end web technologies, database design and development, cloud infrastructure and complex UX design.

    Dave joined CAKE while still an undergraduate student at the University of California, Irvine. He worked full-time while attending school to help build CAKE from the ground up. He received a bachelor’s degree in Informatics.

  • Andy Mazzarella

    Executive Vice President & CFO

    Andy brings 30 years of experience in general management and finance with numerous technology companies, both public and private. Prior to joining CAKE, Andy served as Chief Executive Officer at Scalable Network Technologies, a simulation software provider. He was also founding Chief Executive Officer of AOptix Technologies and Chief Financial Officer at iMALL (acquired by Excite@Home). Andy has also served on the Board of Directors of numerous other technology companies, including Mustang Software (acquired by Quintus), SuperNation (acquired by InterMix Media), MyLife (, eForce Media and PatentVest. 

    Early in his career, Andy was Managing Director of Geller & Friend Capital Partners, Vice President of Finance for The Davis Companies, Director of Planning for Twentieth Century Fox, Senior Consultant with Deloitte & Touche and a Flight Controls Engineer at The Boeing Company.

    Andy holds a Top Secret security clearance, a bachelor’s degree in physics from Pomona College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

  • Paul Dumais

    Senior Vice President of Product

    Paul oversees the development and implementation of the over-arching product vision and CAKE roadmap. He has over 20 years of executive management and software development experience.

    Prior to joining CAKE, Paul has held executive roles at more than half a dozen technology companies, both public and private. He most recently served as Vice President Product Development at Scalable Network Technologies, a high-performance network simulation software provider. In addition, he also led a team to develop an integrated publishing, marketing and ecommerce platform at Mom Inc. (  Before that, Paul was the Chief Technology Officer of uWink, a publicly held company where he oversaw the development of software and custom hardware. Prior to uWink, he worked at Seed Advertising, designing, developing and operating their digital marketing platform. Before moving to Los Angeles, he was a senior engineer at Apple for 8 years where he worked on operating systems, networking and emulation products.

  • Jill Hara

    Vice President of Marketing

    Jill leads CAKE’s worldwide marketing strategy and execution. She was initially brought on board to run corporate communications as the company launched its new branding, positioning and product. Her role has greatly expanded since that time. Along with corporate communications, she develops and implements strategies for demand generation and customer retention as well.

    Bringing more than 15 years of marketing experience to CAKE, Jill previously represented a number of technology innovators in the enterprise software space across various sectors including digital marketing, data analytics, supply chain management and energy. She also worked at agencies including Golin Harris, Chiat Day, Kickstart Consulting and Copithorne & Bellows representing clients including Hewlett-Packard Company, Nissan, Space-Time Insight, the California ISO and Activision.

    Jill holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from San Diego State University.

  • Garth Harris

    Vice President of Client Services

    Garth leads the company’s client services team, which handles onboarding, account management and technical support. The goal of client services is primarily focused on customer satisfaction and retention.

    Garth held a variety of roles with CAKE’s client services and sales teams over the past five years, most recently serving as the senior director of sales engineering. Additionally, he drove CAKE’s global expansion by establishing the London office, the company’s first international presence. There, he served as the director of client services and was a major contributor to CAKE’s growth in the EMEA region.

    Garth holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Vanguard University.

  • Charles Teed

    Vice President of Sales

    Charles brings a proven track record of achieving exceptional sales growth for SaaS-based businesses to his role as Vice President of Business Development at CAKE.

    Prior to joining CAKE by Accelerize, Teed has garnered more than a decade of experience driving sales and revenue growth for SaaS-based software companies. Most recently, as Vice President of Sales for Mavenlink, a leading provider of SaaS solutions for project management, he built and led a sales team that grew annual revenue from $500K to over $14MM in less than four years.

    At WebVisible, a leader in local online advertising, he managed a team within the organization that consistently achieved the highest monthly nationwide sales bookings. Teed began his sales management career at Freedom Financial Lending, where he grew sales volume from startup level to over $30MM from 2005 to 2010.
