The CAKE team attended Affiliate Summit East (ASE) last week from July 31-August 2 at the New York Marriott Marquis. Bringing together more than 5,500 attendees including merchants, vendors, networks and technology providers, the event offered three days of insightful tracks, three separate tradeshow areas and a multitude of networking events. Below is a recap of the event!
During the first day of the show, CAKE exhibited at Meet Market tables #211 and #212. In total, we had a team of fourteen CAKE representatives networking at the meet market tables, meeting prospects, catching up with partners and scheduling client meetings. Our team handed out CAKE branded notebooks, t-shirts, USB drives in addition to fresh cake pops! The day proved to be incredibly successful and further validated the need for real-time tracking and analytics software within the affiliate ecosystem.
Keynote Session by CAKE Executive
CAKE’s CTO and Co-founder, Dave Stewart presented with Kristen Pulver, Director of Affiliate Marketing of Horizon Media Group in a session titled “Affiliate Marketing: Why Data Matters.” The presentation offered insights into how data provides clarity into campaign performance and how to leverage data to make smarter digital investments with affiliate marketing programs. During the session, Stewart and Pulver explored the role data plays from an agency, advertiser and affiliate perspective in optimizing their performance marketing activities, increasing ROI and understanding how data affects their long-term goals. In particular, attendees received insights on the following:
* Leveraging data to make smarter decisions with your digital spend.
* Collecting and analyzing demographic data, purchase acquisition information and campaign attribution.
* Increasing transparency to combat fraud.
* Implementing attribution to understand traffic patterns and consumer behaviors.
During Affiliate Summit East, experts from the Affiliate industry came together to discuss recent innovations, forecast trends and provide tips and tricks to navigate the constantly evolving ecosystem. A few of the most notable trends included:
*Streamlining all multi-channel activities within a single hub to view campaign performance.
*Utilizing data to make smarter decisions with your digital investments.
Affiliate Summit East proved to be yet another amazing event for our sales representatives to meet with prospects, our account managers to set up meetings with our clients and overall an excellent platform for all attendees to exchange insights.
